Hundested Controllable Pitch Propellers
Hundested Propeller A/S specializes in the manufacture of controllable pitch propellers.
The factory is located in Hundested, a city on the island
of Zealand, not far from the Danish capital of
Copenhagen.
Their multi pitch propellers are supplied in various sizes to suit
engines from 150 HP to approx. 3200 HP. The propellers can be
adapted to suit individual requirements.
The Controllable Pitch (CP) gearboxes are specially designed for
use with CP propellers, and have a built-in servo for the pitch
change push rod. A Wide range of reductions are available. Input
torque from 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) to 35000 Nm (25,830 lb-ft). All
sizes have ground, case hardened, helical gears. A special feature
is the modular PTO system to drive hydraulic pumps or generators.
All PTO's have an individual hydraulic clutch. All manoeuvring is
accomplished by adjusting the pitch.
Hundested also offer complete propulsion plants, propeller
nozzles, line shaft bearings, CP gearboxes and flexible couplings.
The propeller units are designed and manufactured for approval by
all classification societies.
Hundested's thrusters range from 25 HP to 1360 HP and
they also offer a variety of retractable and V-shaped
thrusters which have been installed in a large number of local and
international superyachts.
